Talks

The Essex Podcast Festival returns to Chelmsford Theatre Studio for an unforgettable evening featuring two supernatural live podcasts! Immerse yourself in captivating stories, sharp wit, and fresh perspectives as top creators take to the stage for a night bursting with chills, intrigue, and spine-tingling insights. BROKEN VEIL Step beyond the ordinary and into the eerie world of Broken Veil — the award-winning fiction podcast making its live debut at Chelmsford Theatre Studio. Join acclaimed writers Will Maclean (The Apparition Phase) and Joel Morris (Charlie Brooker’s Wipe) as they uncover the weird, the unsettling, and the possibly supernatural tales that have haunted their friends — and the places those stories call home. For the first time, experience the podcast’s haunting atmosphere in person, with highlights from Season 1 and psychogeographic strangeness that blur the line between reality and the unknown. EERIE ESSEX Venture into the mysterious heart of Essex with Bethan Briggs-Miller and Ailsa Clarke, hosts of the acclaimed podcast that delves into the county’s folklore, urban legends, and supernatural tales. From ghostly encounters to eerie local myths, they uncover the strange stories that shape Essex’s hidden history. On 26 February, they bring their spellbinding show to Chelmsford Theatre Studio for a special live recording — an evening of chilling tales, dark secrets, and curious wonders you won’t want to miss.
