Life Drawing

Life Drawing at Chelmsford Theatre! This workshop is for those wanting to learn something new, enjoy a fun evening out with friends, or for artists wanting to develop and continue experimenting with their practice.

This is an open event for anyone interested in developing their drawing skills - classes are led by Gareth Barton who will be on-hand to give advice and guidance to help you as you tackle the challenge of capturing the human form. And if your drawing has got into a rut, Gareth will happily throw a spanner in the works to get you out of your comfort zone!

Workshops will include inspiration from famous artists, dynamic poses by highly experienced models, and the sharing of ideas and feedback.

Each session will have a different theme, with a new model to bring about inspiration and challenges.

“Life drawing at Chelmsford Theatre makes so much sense. Drawing is movement, performance and expression all laid out on the paper, and extraordinary pieces are created when we draw with our emotions and not just with our hands.”

Chelmsford Theatre is fully committed to creating a fully inclusive Discover Programme. We ask that if you have any questions, or would like some additional support that you contact us at outreach.theatre@chelmsford.gov.uk
