Now open – Discover your new café
We've transformed the tired old little foyer of Chelmsford Theatre Studio into a snug and welcoming daytime café. Open from 10am to 3pm Monday to Saturday (except bank holidays), you'll find all your favourite lunchtime bites for takeaway or eat in, late morning snacks and afternoon coffee and cake moments.
And in the warmer months of spring and summer we have our new outdoor terrace swinging into action to add a little continental flare to Fairfield Road.

Food and drink in Chelmsford
Chelmsford Theatre is surrounded by places to eat and drink, before and after your show, as well as our own bars, café and sweets and ice cream bar.
Opposite Chelmsford Theatre is Taste of Italy who offer a meal deal for those coming to a show (find out more here), and nearby on Duke Street Il Palazzo offer pre and post show meals (find out more here).
