Creative Education: Sense of Self
A playful workshop focused on building young people’s confidence. This is an opportunity to be inspired to try new creative things. This workshop uses drama, language games and creative writing to draw 'zines' all about you! Using a mix of art materials and drawing led experiments the children will make magazines which develop communicating who they are and facilitates sharing that with others.
This workshop is suitable for all ages as learning support is differentiated and outcomes vary according to maturity and approach to the tasks.
At the end of the session the young people will learn new ways to give and respond to feedback as well as handling compliments, then invite each other to read and share their zines with each other, parents and carers. Parents and carers are invited to the end of the session Sketchybition.
This workshop develops a creative voice, communication skills and a sense of self.
