Creative Education: Public Speaking

Join Leanne, director of The Drama Centre, as you embark on your public speaking journey. Leanne has decades of experience in performance and public speaking and she is here to support and challenge you. The session focuses heavily on building your confidence and beating those public speaking nerves that many of us face.

The session starts with some drama games to help you ease into the workshop, then Leanne will help you with your voice, your communication skills and your body language, all the building blocks of a great public speaker. We won’t be focusing on writing a speech, but instead on how you can verbally communicate your story.

All participants must bring lunch, any snacks and water with them for the day.

Chelmsford theatre can provide lunch at an additional cost, please ensure you add this on when purchasing a ticket.

Chelmsford Theatre is fully committed to creating a fully inclusive Discover Programme. We ask that if you have any questions, or would like some additional support that you contact us at outreach.theatre@chelmsford.gov.uk
