Verbatim theatre: theatre made from real people’s words.
Join theatre company, The Paper Birds, for a unique practical workshop exploring engaging techniques in how to collect and use verbatim material to devise original theatre. How do we take interviews and data from page to stage and get it up on its feet? Participants will collate several approaches to generating thought-provoking theatre and gain an insight into the company's creative practice.
The Paper Birds pride themselves on inspiring young people through theatre and enabling them to thrive through participation. Working in hundreds of schools each year both in the UK and Internationally, they have a reputation as leaders in the delivery of devised and verbatim theatre workshops.
